During the 2021 COVID-19 lockdown, I explored how to maintain the intimate act of tattooing under strict social distancing. My question was simple: How can I tattoo from 3 meters away?

This led to a series of performances using extended tools — tattoo machines taped to long sticks or suspended in the air. The resulting tattoos were created through random, uncontrolled motion. The body became a canvas for chance, distance, and constraint.

This project is both graphic research and performance. It questions authorship, intimacy, and control in a time when touch was forbidden — marking the skin with the visual language of distance.
